Teletherapy
At Northeastern Counseling Services, many of us have been proponents and practitioners of telehealth and teletherapy for years and have seen first-hand the benefits it can provide. In times of uncertainty, where the need for flexibility in accessing behavioral healthcare is vital, we are honored to be able to continue to provide support for you in this format.
If you are interested in teletherapy, or have additional questions please don't hesitate to contact us for more information.

What is teletherapy?
Teletherapy is a form of telehealth that provides real-time behavioral healthcare using secure telecommunications technology. It allows you to connect with your therapist remotely, offering flexibility and convenience without compromising the quality of care.
How is teletherapy delivered?
We use secure video, audio, and text-based communication on computers, tablets, and phones to ensure a seamless and confidential experience. Our platforms comply with all healthcare privacy regulations to protect your information.
What platforms do you use for video-based, teletherapy sessions?
All of our teletherapy video sessions are conducted via HIPAA-compliant platforms such as Doxy.me and Virtual Therapy Connect.
Where can teletherapy be used?
Teletherapy can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. For the best experience, we recommend a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable and free from distractions.
Is teletherapy covered by my insurance?
As of March 16, 2020, most commercial insurance providers cover teletherapy. However, coverage may vary, so we encourage you to check with your insurance carrier to confirm your specific benefits.
Anything else I need to know?
Before starting teletherapy, clients will need to complete a telehealth consent form. If you have any questions about the process, we're happy to provide more information and ensure you feel comfortable with teletherapy before your first session.
